When you request a booking we collect the details you provide: lead guest name, email address, optional phone number, requested dates, guest and dog counts, and any note to the owner. We do not collect or store payment card data — deposits are taken via Stripe hosted Checkout, and card details go directly to Stripe, never to us. We also use privacy-respecting server-side traffic analytics (via Cloudflare) to understand aggregate visits to this site — no tracking cookies are set, and no individual browsing profile is built.
Booking-request details are passed to the specific property owner you are requesting, so they can review and approve or decline the request. If approved, we email you a secure deposit-payment link (hosted by Stripe). We do not use your details for marketing without your consent, and we do not sell personal data.
Expired and declined booking requests are automatically purged after approximately 90 days. Where a booking is confirmed and a payment is taken, we keep the associated records for as long as standard UK accounting and tax rules require (currently up to 6 years), for financial record-keeping purposes only.
We share booking-request details only with the property owner you are booking. Payment is processed by Stripe under their own privacy policy — deposits and card data go directly to them, never to us. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
